MEET THE NED'S

John has worked as a manager in sales within the building merchant world over 3 decades before being made redundant in the first Covid lockdown in April 2020. Lavinia persuaded him to be Business Manager when TMW cic opened its doors in July 2020, which he agreed to help out initially for a short term. That term lasted 4 years! John needed a change so transferred to being Fundraising Manger as of June 2024. He worked really hard fundraising at Melton Mowbray market and many local car boots every weekend and in the week. There is only so much you can do before tiring of having no weekends, and hankering after his old career. 

John left the business in November 2025, only to offer his services as a Non Executive Director and return within a couple of weeks when he learned that both Ron and Ginny had stepped down after 5yrs service. We truly are grateful to John stepping up as a NED for his knowledge of both businesses, inside and out, but also supporting Lavinia's vision. He has always been a great listener, very experienced working with customers and staff, and helped build the business alongside Lavinia and Yasmin. Most individuals find John relaxed, calm, and unflappable with a very quirky sense of humour. He has an unquenchable thirst for all types of music, as well as a passion for films.
